    Cool Kitchen Gadget!!

I purchased this product mainly for making soups. I hated having to put soup into the blender in bathces to puree it. Not only was this time consuming but I usually made a huge mess in the process. Well this product solved that problem for me. I made a soup the other day and used this product to blend the soup right in the pot! While I was nervous about "only" being able to run the blender continuously for 50 seconds, I learned that 50 seconds is more than enough time for this item to blend a whole pot of soup, in fact it only took about 15-20 seconds.I have also used the grinder attachment to mince fresh parsley, and have also made a smoothie using the included measuring cup and blender.Although the manual states that you cannot run this product for more than a certain amount of time (depending on the function), I have learned that this product can accomplish those tasks easily in the time frames given (it took 5 seconds to mince my parsley!)... 5/5 MidwestMom (USA) - See all my reviews, June 19, 2006

    Rubbish!

I would like to give it no stars but that's an option on Amazon rating. Bought in May (but only used about 4 times since then as we were away for a long summer). Used to blend tinned tomatoes. Worked fine couple of times then blades in blender, chopper and whisk turned very slowly and seemed to squeal when motor ran. Called up Cuisinart and they sent me a new kit. Same thing happened. So I called again and they sent me chopper lid and whisk attachment (only blender had worked in new kit). Now I've the handstick that works very well (for how long though?), chopper grinder doesn't work at all and neither does whisk. I looked inside the motor shaft and these "stripped teeth" everyone in the one-star category keeps on about are also looking that way in mine (I hadn't looked in the original one I sent back). Unfortunately I hadn't read the bad reviews before I bought it, and it seems that this "teeth stripping" is a continual problem with most of their hand sticks. I've already spent $20... 1/5 Grainne B. Redmond (MI, USA) - See all my reviews, October 16, 2008

    Excellent Warranty Service

I have had this blender for about a year and have used it weekly for smoothies with great success. Last week I was using it to chop basil and the blade in the chopping bowl sliced into the side of the plastic bowl. Miraculously I kept and located the manual that said it had a 3 year warranty. I called the number, which told me to call another number, I was on hold a very short time. I read the customer service representative my item's serial number and she sent me a new bowl and suggested that she also include a new blade in case my blade had been damaged. Way to go cuisinart. 5/5 eli (boston, ma) - See all my reviews This review is from: Cuisinart CSB-77 Smart Stick Hand Blender with Whisk and Chopper Attachments (Kitchen) I have had this blender for about a year and have used it weekly for smoothies with great success. Best yet!

This is the third hand blender I have owned, and is by far the most solid, smoothest running and easiest to clean. The brushed chrome construction looks great and is also easier to clean than plastic versions. Handy features like detachable base, included mixing cup and extra long mixer are thoughtful and useful. The motor is smooth and powerful - it is the Audi V8 of the hand blender world. For the quality, brand and power, $30 is an absolute steal. 5/5 P. Ah hah, I'm all shook up!

Well ok, maybe I am not all shook up so much as BLENDED up. I purchased this immersion blender after my older no name brand unit purchased at Wally World died in the middle of blending a pot of hot soup. I like that you can wash the blenders blade assembly in the dishwasher and the stainless steel shaft is not stained like so many of the ALL PLASTIC models. Another thing I love is the power of the unit and the sharpness of the blades; they will reduce a pot of cream of broccoli soup to a smooth consistency in nothing flat.Oh and when I say broccoli soup folks, I MEAN broccoli soup. I put nearly two bunches of steamed broccoli in my soup and I only chunk it prior to blending with the immersion blender. This blender will puree` the soup to a perfect creamy texture in nothing flat. (Reserve a few pieces of the chunked broccoli to add back to the soup for texture purposes) I have also used it on my potato and asparagus soups with equally great results. If you are... 5/5 C. Cuisinart makes TERRIBLE hand blenders! They work well, but have an Achilles' heel...

We are now on our SECOND of this CSB-76BC model, having bought two because the price was so good. That was in February, and it's now July. This follows at least three other Cuisinarts, and they all have had the same problem: while the body of the machine may be nice and sturdy, the motor's strong and the blades do the job nicely, the drive shaft is connected with a REALLY CHEAP PLASTIC piece. And this WILL strip, and when it does, you'll be throwing out that otherwise-wonderful machine. The definition of insanity is repeating an action many times, expecting a different result. I readily confess to being insane, in that I keep thinking that maybe the next time, Cuisinart will have decided to salvage whatever's left of their reputation with the addition of one more piece of metal to their immersion-blender design.Don't be like me, please. Disregard the reviews written by glowing new owners, and consider how long you want this purchase to last. 1/5 Nosewiper (Sterling Heights, MI United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great idea in theory. Poor execution.

Like many others here, I used my Cuisinart Smart Stick very little before the teeth on the gear in the housing stripped out. I'm guessing I didn't even get to use it 10 times, but since those 10 times were spread out over a period of about 9 months and I had tossed the receipt, I'm out $50.Shame on Cuisinart for making such a powerful little motor and installing plastic gears for it to drive. It'd be a great product if it weren't for this one, seriously fatal flaw. 1/5 Mark A. Rocka (New Caney, Texas United States) - See all my reviews, September 13, 2010

    Wonderful!

I purchased this because I had a Kitchenaid mini-prep and Kitchenaid Stick Blender and had minimum space. I replaced two appliances with one. There isn't a meal I prepare that I don't reach for this and absolutely love it. Have never had any problems with the ease of disengaging the attachments from the handle. I really like the way the chopping bowl does not have a hole in the bottom. 5/5 LAR (Scottsdale, Arizona) - See all my reviews This review is from: Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender With Whisk & Chopper Attachments (HB-154PC) I purchased this because I had a Kitchenaid mini-prep and Kitchenaid Stick Blender and had minimum space. Absoluate piece of junk

If I could give it less than one star, I would.I had an ancient Braun MultiMix that I loved. Worked beautifully for abut 20 years, and finally died a good death. Unfortunately, the Brauns are no longer available domestically. Big bummer, that.I asked a friend for a replacement for my birthday in summer 2009, and due to reviews, specifically asked for a KA model, with the stick blender, chopper attachment and whisk. Unfortunately, I got this pile of junk instead. The stick blender is probably OK. I don't really use that too much, but when I do use it, it does what I want it to. The whisk is meh.....I could live without it. I wanted the mini-chopper/processor option more. But, after about a year of use, it croaked last week. I treated the damn thing with kid gloves. It irked me no end that I couldn't clean the top part (the gear gizzie) really well. Sorry, but most of what I do in my mini-processor is messy....dressings, vinaigrettes,... 1/5 RobertaJ - See all my reviews This review is from: Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender With Whisk & Chopper Attachments (HB-154PC) If I could give it less than one star, I would.I had an ancient Braun MultiMix that I loved. Nice to be cord free

I have had the Cuisinart plug in hand blender, but wanted to go cordless. I finally broke down and got this one. It is nice to be cord free, but it is pretty heavy, and big for my hands. It does blend well. The other thing I do not like, is that when you charge the base, it does not give you a green light that it is charged. That would be helpful. It is also very easy to charge, because the handle has a plug built right into it, no separate base. I really like the small mixer bowl attachment that came with it as well. I have used it more than I expected. 4/5 Keri Vaca (San Francisco) - See all my reviews, January 24, 2009

    Big Boy!

This is a wonderfully powerful hand blender. It is LARGE. People with small hands might want hold one first before making an online purchase. I am not delighted with nicad batteries since they are fussy about being discharged before being recharged, but maybe they are necessary due to the large current draw of the motor. This is ideal for pureed soups. No more 10 trips to the blender with hot soup dribbling all over the counter or burning my hands. 5/5 Dutch Oven Guy (Tallahassee, FL USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great kitchen utensil

I aso have an earlier version of this hand blender and have always loved its usability and effectiveness. Very impressed with this later model - love the extras - whisk and chopper attachments are really excellent - a true multi-tasking "Wizzk kid".Easy to use, easily stowable, space saving. Engineering Issues...

I bought this product late November of 2009 and initially liked it fine. Here is what I wrote initially:"Works fine. When you had a Braun previously, as I did, some of the parts don't stick together as easily as you are used to. Works fine though, and has a stronger engine than the Braun did. For pure functionality it deserves 4 stars."Based on this I gave the Miallegro 3 Stars. Now we are 10 weeks later and 2 knobs that hold the motor part and the attachments together have come off. Not good, obviously. Am now about to call customer service to get the product replaced and will update on how that goes. But the fact that this has happened at all, shows this isn't a very well engineered product unfortuntely...Consider yourself warned. 1/5 BookwormNYC (New York) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Poor design for blade attachment

After reading so many good reviews of this blender, and wanting a powerful one, I thought I had found a winner with the Miallegro. Unfortunately, my first attempt to use the blender resulted in the blade and other internal assembly falling off the wand and into my soup. The design is definitely wanting. In theory, having various blades for different tasks to attach to the motorized wand makes sense, but they do not attach securely or easily. The instructions suggest using pliers to squeeze on tightly if necessary. That really shouldn't be necessary in an adequate design. I returned this blender and am awaiting my refund, having lost out on shipping costs. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and am resuming my search. 1/5 A. P. Best Stick Blender Ever!

I ordered this item after much reviewing here on Amazon. My "must have" list was:Chrome or Stainless Steel (NO MORE PLASTIC)Long NeckPowerful motorLong cordAttachment partsWell, this is all of that and MORE! I am so pleased with this as I have used it now every day to make Protein Smoothies in the morning for me and my fiance'. He just told me this morning how much he is enjoying them on the way to work instead of hot tea. (got him to quit coffee a year ago :)I put frozen berries in, some honey, Nutribiotic Prozone 30-30-40 Vanilla powder (best protein powder I've ever tried!), chia seeds and So Delicious Coconut Milk. This chops up the frozen berries in a matter of seconds! NO KIDDING! I am amazed at how powerful this thing is! AND one other little perk that I don't recall anyone else mentioning is that the blades are all stainless steel and the bottom of it is too, so, when you run it under water or use it in... 5/5 K.
