    Must have gadget!

As an engineer and gadget guy I finally got the big Kahuna Margaritaville model. When you follow the directions - ie keep the right amount of liquid per the number of drinks - it is fantastic. The 12OZ per drink measurement is dead on.The different drinks it makes - Rita's, Daq's, Colada's and Smoothies are set on one knob. This basically tells the blender how much blending to do and when to shave the ice. The Rita's assume all liquid ingredients. The Daq's assume frozen fruit and the Smoothies assume fresh fruit so the timing and frequecy of the blending is based on that. For example the blender doesn't start on a Rita until the ice shaving is well underway while a Daq starts blending well before the shaving starts. The machine breaks down nicely for easy cleaning and the shaving blade is easy to replace if it comes to that. It's a pretty beefy blade so I am not worried.Do note that the machine is tall and will not fit under a cabinet... 5/5 TPM "TPM" - See all my reviews This review is from: Margaritaville DM2000 Premium Frozen Concoction Maker (Kitchen) As an engineer and gadget guy I finally got the big Kahuna Margaritaville model. When you follow the directions - ie keep the right amount of liquid per the number of drinks - it is fantastic. Elminates several other machines in your kitchen

We love our Margaritaville machine! It has eliminated two blenders and a snow cone maker in our own kitchen. No telling what more. My husband loves a good 'rita, and I like to drink health shakes in the morning for breakfast. This machine is perfect for our needs. You can also just shave a little ice to make a snowy soft snow cone for the kids or enlist the blender element solely. It's a large machine, so if a blender is a daily necessity in your house and you have plenty of counter space to accomodate it, then this is great for you. Now, this is not going to chop frozen strawberries w/o compromising the integrity, per the saleswoman's instructions at the Williams-Sonoma that we bought it at. By the way, we bought ours there for the same price, but also have the Williams-Sonoma guarantee that covers the Margaritaville for life. If you have a WS in your area, I would suggest this route. If not, at least Amazon has their 1 yr. warranty on it. 5/5 Jessica Reynolds (Round Rock, Texas United States) - See all my reviews, August 9, 2007

    not overly pleased

First, I would rate it a 3.5I purchased this item as I was tired of low quality drink mixers... I purchased the FIJI as it was the newest model out. It has a larger Ice holder and different settings for margaritas, daquiries, mudslides, and smoothies. The machine is powerful and seemingly high quality. I feel it will last a long time. It does take some practice getting your recipies correct. Maybe its just me, but I also can NOT differentiate the drinks from the four different settings. A drink in the mudslide setting has the same texture as a Margarita....and etc. So I felt that was a waste for me. With the larger Ice Hopper thats nice, but easily available for the Key West version. I would rather have extra blending Jars as they are small and what I go through the most. The Key west seems to have the best matching ice reservoir for the blending jar. The drip through water catcher is nice... but very difficultt to clean. Its too narrow to wash by hand, you need to use a... 3/5 J. Bellso (Central New York) - See all my reviews, June 22, 2008

Shipping was as expected. Wish there had been better photos of the product as there were more scratches than I expected. However, product was purchased in used condition so some wear and tear was expected. Bottom line, it makes GREAT margaritas. Idea for storing Margarita machine

The bag works great for storing and traveling! Because there are several models of the Frozen Concoction machine, be sure to research the correct bag for your machine. There are two bags, the AD1000: made for the smaller machines, and the AD1100: made for the top of the line machine. The smaller bag will not fit the larger machine, and I had a problem with that, because the first one I purchased was mis-advertised as the 1100, when actually it was the 1000, and did not fit my larger machine. Once I received the correct bag (from a different seller), I was totally satisfied with the purchase. 5/5 T. Voss (Oklahoma) - See all my reviews, July 22, 2008

Great storage/travel bag for the DM2000(2100) Fuji Model

This bag will fit the Margarita Frozen Concoction Marker Model DM2000 & DM2100 also known as the Fiji model. It is well padded to protect it from minor bumps but I wouldn't want to drop the unit while it is in the bag. It contains a Velcro strap inside to secure the unit somewhat from moving around. Once zippered up, the unit is snug and will not move around. There is a side pocket for the lime tray storage. The bag is well constructed and attractive. Even the name tag is a brushed metal insert. Considering the price of the actual machine...$40 is well worth the price to transport it safely. I am very happy with the product. As others have said, there are two bag sizes. The AD1000 is for the DM0500 & DM1000 models. While the AD1100 is for the DM2000/2100 models. 5/5 Mark Evans (Cincinnati, OH) - See all my reviews, August 14, 2008

    Must have for your macine

We have the cheapest version of the frozen machine and it fits in here fine. There is a side zipper for the directions/recipe book and it is very sturdy for the weight the machine actually is. My main reason for purchasing it was to keep the dust/grime off it when we don't use it but I have now easily brought it to friend's BBQ and have found I now use the item more because of it. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I think it is a little overpriced for just a bag. 4/5 S. Smith (Maryland) - See all my reviews, July 14, 2008

    Have margarita maker, will travel

We've had our Margaritaville margarita maker for several months and have been hauling it around to friend's and family's homes for get togethers. I was always afraid that the pitcher would drop and break. So, when I saw this handy carrying case, I thought I had to get one. The case is very nicely made. I'm very impressed! The whole case is padded and there is a thick foam pad at the bottom of the case, that the machine fits snuggly into, then there are velcro straps that wrap around the machine to keep it securely in place. The sides of the case zippers to open and close the case. There are 2 heavey nylon handles for easy carrying. There is also a outside large pocket the velcros closed, perfect for carrying a salt tray. If you want to protect your $300 investment, I recommend having this 1 accessory. 5/5 westielove (PA , United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Margaritaville frozen concoction maker carry bag

The carry bag is very well made and is well worth the price. It should help protect the frozen concoction maker and make it a lot easier to transport when going on vacation or to a friends house. 5/5 M. Lovelace - See all my reviews, June 1, 2007
