    Best Blender System!

I received this as a Christmas gift, and so far, I love it. I currently own a Krups blender, which was only about $30, and I was preparing to buy something like a Viking Blender - something that has a much more powerful motor system, for around $150, when my parents got me this. The great thing about it is that it's not necessarily a blender. I mean, it is by definition, but there's a couple key differences. Blenders have an inherent flaw of only blending what's at the bottom, especially when it's something thick like a shake. I always ended up with big chunks of ice cubes in my shakes even after 3 minutes of blending. The ice just never reached the bottom. Not a problem with this system. Even if the blender carafe didn't have 3 sets of blades, it already works better than a blender because the blades aren't embedded in the bottom of the carafe. Which allows me to point out another awesome thing - don't you hate trying to scoop out your drink from the recessed blade area of a blender... 5/5 Amy Gurley "=^.^=" (WA) - See all my reviews, January 29, 2011

    Great design...mediocre blender

After going through two low-end Oster blenders in as many years, I decided it was time to step it up a little. I love that the Ninja does not have a base - the thing that was the demise of my two previous blenders - and so there is no digging crud out of the bottom of the blender, and no awkward cluster of parts to take apart for cleaning and reassemble. It is SO easy to just rinse the blades, pitcher, and top, and leave them on the counter for tomorrow, or pop them in the dishwasher if I forget. However, as a blender it's not so great. I use blenders for two main things: grinding flaxseed, and making smoothies. My old Oster blenders could grind flaxseed to a fine powder, and make perfectly creamy smoothies. So I was more than a little disappointed to discover that my fancy Ninja blender could only barely grind flaxseed, leaving many seeds still whole even after extended blending, and most others only half ground. The smoothies it makes are okay, but I am drinking one right... 3/5 Jill P. - See all my reviews After going through two low-end Oster blenders in as many years, I decided it was time to step it up a little. Best Smoothie Maker

I really enjoy this product. I got it as a Christmas present from my in laws and it is the BEST blender I have used. Honestly, I've only used it for smoothies but will try to make sauces and such soon. Before I've always had to add ice to make my smoothies frothy. I like my smoothies well blended and smooth, but a little frothy. If I wanted it 100% smooth or liquid I would drink juice. If you blend for long enough though - it will become juice. Not that that's bad - just depends on your taste.Best aspects of this product (*for me*):1. easy to clean (take motor off, take the lid off, pull out the blade, wash)2. easy to reassemble (put the blade in, put the lid back, place motor on top and go)3. safety - the blade comes out right after you're done blending4. nothing gets wasted - because you can remove the blade it's really easy to scoop out all the goodness. Before I would always have at least 1/2 C of smoothie wasted because I couldn't... 5/5 Derelyn Lites "mamamia" (USA) - See all my reviews, February 11, 2011

The best blender for frozen coffee & smoothies

I purchased this blender a few weeks ago and absolutely love it!It will chop ice into very tiny balls for frozen coffee, smoothies or any drinks, without jamming like other blenders will do. TheNinja Master Prep is great.

this is the Ninja that is similar to the Magic Bullet. I have loved my Magic Bullet but have almost worn it out over the years so got the Ninja. This Ninja is bigger and better because of the extra blades. I use it to make all of my pancakes, waffles, muffins, salsa, smoothies, chopped veggies, ham or chicken sandwich spreads, etc. You can pretty much use the Magic Bullet recipe booklet for both appliances. Just make sure the motor is properly seated on the base before you turn it on and it will work for years. It is my best kitchen friend. 5/5 carla vogel (DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA, US) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great gift for the gadget lover...

Customer Video Review Length:: 6:04 MinsThis is my first video review, so here goes nothing! A couple of notes: I repeatedly said Ninja Master Pro, it's Ninja Master Prep. I love it!! Something I did wrong in my video review that I just learned. When making ice based drinks, do the ice on it's own first, then add your other ingredients. It makes the ice more like snow then baby ice chunks. As far as gadgets, this might intrique a non-cook into cooking. So far, I've made hummus, chicken salad, cheese dip, ice cream, italian breadcrumbs and a few various drinks. I hate processed breadcrumbs in the little cardboard cartons. I tossed those and now we make our own breadcrumbs in about 1 minute. So really no extra effort and it tastes so much better, plus I know exactly whats in it(herbs, bread, garlic, cheese)with no added chemicals or preservatives. For those people who rely on a food processor as their main go-to item when cooking, this might not be your thing. But for people... 4/5 A. Boston (Philadelphia, PA) - See all my reviews, December 10, 2009

    Excellent!

I've been putting this little blender through it's paces the last couple of days, and I have to say, it passed with flying colors.- Icecubes (even the pretty large ones)were not an issue, it blasted right through them and did indeed produce creamy/fluffy snow.- Grinding nuts - awesome! I frequently use nuts in my baking and cooking, from really coarsely chopped to fine nut flours. It did it all! A regular food processor generally either can't go beyond the coarse chunks, or has the undesirable three-fold of nutbutter at the bottom, somewhat coarsely chopped nuts inbetween and hardly touched nuts on top! I would usually do little 1/4 cup batches in my coffee grinder, which a lot of shaking and sifting! Not anymore!- Chopping veggies - performed beautifully. I added chunks of random veggies, they all came out nicely and pretty evenly chopped - even leeks!- Finely chopped some lemon and orange peel in there too, no problem! Very nice and even processing!-... 5/5 B. Kerr (Phoenix, AZ United States) - See all my reviews, December 9, 2009

    Loved it until...

This smoothie maker was great for the first 3 uses. On the 4th try the power head slipped a bit off the bladeshaft. The result is that the bladeshaft and the blending head are completely stripped and therefore doesn't work anymore. We are really disappointed because it seemed like it worked so well. 1/5 Karla Cherry (PA) - See all my reviews, January 15, 2010

A great Blender, but wait, there's more!

I've had this little gem only a few days, but have already put it through a few paces. I bought the "professional" model for the extra power (50 watts doesn't seem like much, until you try to crush ice). The unit is easy to set up, store, and clean. I like the fact that the power unit is very small yet powerful. The power "pod" moves from one container to the other without the necessity of cleaning blades if several different items are being chopped or blended. My first smoothie came out without any lumps of either ice or frozen fruit, something that was impossible in my more expensive Krups machine. I've made salsa in the smaller bowl, then blended icy Margaritas in the pitcher in the next moment without having to clean the blades or bowls (each bowl/pitcher comes with a specific blade set just for that container). I find it practical, simple, and sturdy. Great value for the money, because you are getting a blender with 2 sizes of pitchers (40 and 48 oz), plus a food... 5/5 P. Fantastic Chopper but...

I got this chopper a couple of months ago. What I intended to buy the Ninja for has been great, so I will rate it on that. I will also review the issues I have with it.I bought the Ninja to replace my small chopper. I absolutely love the double blade system, because it chops things very consistently; which was the reason I replaced my old chopper. I did not buy this to replace a blender OR a food processor, the `blender' was just an added bonus. When chopping small things, it has been fabulous! My old chopper, like Ninja's spokesperson claims, turned the bottom food to mush, while the top food is still unchopped. With the Ninja, as long as I `pulse' as the instructions recommend, it works great. I've noticed, though, if I push down the power and leave it down, (usually when I'm in a hurry) I end up with the same results as my old chopper, so the key really is to `pulse'.When it comes to ease of use, the Ninja is not:-The motor on... 3/5 Dana - See all my reviews I got this chopper a couple of months ago. Love it!

A friend suggested this to me and after her review and research, I decided to get it. I have owned the Ninja Master Prep for a little over a month and it is as advertised. You do need to make sure you don't overload it. I've learned to use the pitcher for most things. The pour spout makes it easy to add more liquid if needed. I've made mixed berries ice cream, strawberry ice cream, iced coffee and chicken salad. My great-grandson loves the ice cream. I use frozen fruit, reg. milk and a little sugar for him, splenda for me and it's perfect. I make as much as I want and if there is a little left over put the lid on and put it in the freezer. I have strawberry ice cream in the freezer now. I freeze left over coffee in an ice tray. Put frozen coffee, coffee mate, splenda and milk in the pitcher and mix. The only problem so far, after I have 1 ice coffee I want another. I would buy this again and would love to have an additional pitcher. 4/5 Carla L. BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!

This little blender has really blown my socks off! I currently have an average size blender but it does a horrible job of blending my morning smoothies. I literally had to pick it up while it was blending to shake it so it'll blend everything and still there would be chunks of ice and fruit. The blades just rotated at the bottom but didn't move any of the fruit around. So I bought the ninja yesterday and first thing I did this morning was make a fruit smoothie using frozen fruit, juice and a handful of ice(just regular ice from the ice maker in the fridge)I crossed my fingers and pushed down on the button to blend and within seconds the fruit chunks were gone, ice was crushed and I had a smoothie that was just as good as the $6.00 ones from a smoothie place! NO CHUNKS OF ICE OR FRUIT! This thing is amazing! It's compact, has a 6 cup capacity, which is way more than I need for morning smoothies, and it's quieter than an average blender. I love that the base has a rubber ring around it... 5/5 Tweet - See all my reviews This review is from: BrylaneHome Ninja Master Prep (GREY,0) This little blender has really blown my socks off! Smoothie Magic

Great... wait, no... AWESOME little blender. It used to take me about 2 to 3 minutes to make a descent smoothie on my old blender and, as someone else pointed out before me, I had to literally shake the blender while it was spinning in order to have desired results. This thing got the job done within seconds (probably 10 or so, I was not counting). If you are a smoothie fanatic, or if you want to make your protein powder taste a lot better by making a smoothie with it, you should buy this blender. 5/5 Cesar R. Does not blend to smooth consistency

I drink a lot of smoothies that contain frozen fruit and various vegetables. I was using a standard blender that could be purchased anywhere for normal household use. It was not powerful enough to handle all of the frozen fruit and items that I threw in it and the motor burnt out very quickly. I purchased the Ninja Blender to replace it, and here is my feedback after using it daily for two weeks:Perks:It is very powerful. I can fill it full of frozen fruit, various vegetables and greens, and it blends them very quickly and effortlessly. For that, I love it! It is easy and safe to use, even my children can operate it safely. It has a large pitcher that is easy to pour from. It is easy to clean-no need to disassemble it, the design is brilliant in that the parts are solid and well constructed, and easy to remove from the base to wash.Downfalls:It DOES NOT blend to a smooth consistency! My wife and I just heard about the Ninja Blender a couple days ago. So anyway, we had a coupon for Bed Bath and Beyond and we figured if the Ninja Blender sucked, then we could return it easily. I wasn't expecting all that much since it is only 1/4th the price of a Vitamix or Blendtec. I guess I shouldn't be comparing in the first place, but those are the only blenders that did not break and worked very well when making my frozen fruit smoothies. Great Blender

I got this blender today so it has only been used twice. However, I LOVE it so far...made "snow" in a jiffy. My main use will be for smoothies and it is a champ at making these clump free. I used all frozen fruit and nuts in mine today and it blended them right up. The container is huge and made perfect sized smoothies for my family of 3. I was in the market for the Blendtec total blender and while I'm sure it would be an AWESOME blender, it's just too expensive for my smoothie habits right now. Hopefully, this blender will be around for a few years. It is really sturdy on my cabinet as well. I love the fact that the container must be locked on before the machine will power up. Another reviewer mentioned the size was tall...it is a tall machine! I will have put the container in a cabinet and leave the base on countertop. It measured 17" from counter to top of the container with the lid locked on top. About 7" deep measuring from front to back of the base.Hope this... 5/5 SB - See all my reviews This review is from: Ninja NJ600 Pro Blender (Kitchen) I got this blender today so it has only been used twice. This really works!

I needed a food processor and was doing some internet research when I came across this. I was skeptical because it was an "As Seen On TV" product. I bought it anyway since it was a food processor and a blender and felt like I was getting 2-for-1.This thing is pretty amazing! The food processor chops food just fine. It gets 5-stars from me.But the amazing thing is the blender! It has three blades - one at the top, one in the middle and one at the bottom. It blends EVERYTHING! In the informercial, they say that you can put ice into the blender and it will make "white, fluffy snow." I filled it with only ice, and lo & behold after about 30 seconds the blender had packed snow in it. Just for fun, I even made a snowball.Today I started my annual New Years resolution diet. For breakfast I made a smoothie with fruit, yogurt, water and orange juice. I didn't have any OJ so I just put in a whole (peeled) orange. After 15 seconds, I had a smoothie that was... 5/5 Jim M. I LOVE MY NINJA MASTER!!!

I haven't caved into the whole food processor gimmick because I think they just don't work/end up making the food texture too smooth/liquidy, but I was really tempted to get this during Black Friday of 2010 at Target (I think it was on sale for like 20 bucks or something), ended up being too lazy that morning and I didn't get it, but after reading so many good reviews I couldn't help myself and got it on Amazon (I think it ships from Target though...much more expensive than the BF price but still pretty cheap compared to other FPs).LOVE IT! I will never go back to hours of chopping garlic/onion/ginger/tomatoes/carrots! I love how you can take the blades out completely and scoop out every last drop of food/smoothie and not waste anything. Careful washing the blade though, it's extremely sharp and I've sliced myself a few times on accident. Makes great ground ice for snow cones, blends up perfect smoothies super fast, and chops things in different sizes depending on how... 5/5 M. I thought I needed to replace my old 800 watt Oster blender because it was getting hot making green smoothies, and after all, it WAS 42 years old. I tried a new 600 watt Oster, which couldn't make smoothies smooth. Then I looked blenders up in Consumers Reports and bought the Ninja. At first it went well. After a couple of weeks, though, I realized it was having problems smoothing things like peach peel, so I started getting concerned. Then in the 6th week I owned it, I made a Kale and Banana "smoothie", and it came out a "chewie". Now, Kale is a LEAF, and should not give anything sharp problems! I transferred it to my old machine, and even with the 3-4-year-old blades it became smooth!!That's when I realized there was no way to replace the Ninja blades, nor sharpen them -- even if after only 6 weeks, I would have been willing to do so. Long story short: I exchanged the Ninja for $9 worth of Oster blades, the old machine is running cool, and making smooth... 1/5 Rusty "Square Dancer" (New Jersey) - See all my reviews This review is from: Ninja Master Prep - Black/Silver I thought I needed to replace my old 800 watt Oster blender because it was getting hot making green smoothies, and after all, it WAS 42 years old. Ninja Master Prep Pro Is Awesome!!!

I asked my hubby to get me the Ninja Master Prep Pro for Mother's Day. I wanted it to replace my blender and my food processor. It works so much better AND FASTER than either of my old gadgets!!! We make at least 6 protein shakes a day and it crushes the ice like a champ, and pretty quietly too! I would recommend this product to everyone, whether your kitchen is large or small. It will do so many things for you. 5/5 Wendy Brosious "love to bake" (Milton, PA USA) - See all my reviews, May 17, 2012

    greatest kitchen gadget

Bought one for my daughter and used it so much that when she moved to her own place,I just had to get my own. Love the many options and compact size. I pack just the motor and a small container for trips and get my energy drinks no matter where I am. 5/5 D. Zusi - See all my reviews, March 31, 2012

You will not be disappointed with this mixing wonder

I bought this to replace my food processor and my blender and it was a great move. I love the varying sizes and the blades are not flimsy at all. It does chop ice easily as it claims. I use it to chop nuts, cranberries, prepare seasoning mixes, make smoothies and to puree anything. Salsa is a breeze in this too. Just a few pulses and it's done. I have no regrets about this appliance. 5/5 ReadtoGrow "Pray to Know" (Granger, IN United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Ninja Master Prep Professional Blender, Chopper and Ice Crusher: More Power & 2 Times Faster I bought this to replace my food processor and my blender and it was a great move. Best of the Best Blender's

Updated 02-02-2012 * Sugar free version added to recipeI got this for my birthday from my husband and son, they are good boys! It was something we had looked at on the TV ads and kept thinking on and surprise, I did get one! I was so happily surprised with the way this contraption did absolutely everything they claimed on the TV ad, although we're not normally the infomercial buying kind of people, we wait for them to hit the stores to trek the "As Seen on TV Isle".I always start off with a warning when needed, so WARNING, THE BLADES ARE FREAKING SHARP, My husbands already cut himself at least three times just barely touching them, always-always-always keep the blade locked inside the containers, the other pieces can float around your drawers or wherever you keep them, but the blades, keep them locked inside the pitcher/blender units. The Pitchers are also plastic, they don't mar or cut easily, but the blades can and will scar them up, so careful keeping your... 5/5 R. Taylor "R. Almost a Vitamix for $500 less

I have had the Ninja 1100 for two weeks, and am very happy with my purchase. I bought the Ninja because my Oster blender doesn't have the power to do a good job crushing ice for frozen drinks or blend frozen fruit and ice into sorbets or smoothies. My brother bought a Vitamix, which does an excellent job, but at over $600 is WAY outside my price range.Overall, the Ninja does a great job. The blender is powerful enough to turn a full carafe of ice into fine snow. I take frozen fruit (peaches, mixed berries) add a little fruit juice, ice, Splenda and yogurt to make awesome fruit sorbet for dessert - it comes out the consistency of soft-serve ice cream. It also makes some of the best frozen margaritas ever - smooth and icy, but you can use less ice because it is so powerful. If you read some other reviews, you will see that there are complaints that the blender doesn't always blend everything perfectly smooth. The important word here is "perfectly" - it does... 5/5 Richard Patterson - See all my reviews This review is from: Ninja Kitchen System 1100 - Model BL700 I have had the Ninja 1100 for two weeks, and am very happy with my purchase. Do NOT buy as a "Juicer"

As a blender, the Ninja is powerful and works great. However, the TV advertisements says it can be used as a juicer. Not only that, but it's supposed to be better than a dedicated juicer, because juicers will discard all the pulp... which is wasted fiber and nutrients you aren't getting. Long story short, every juice I've made in the Ninja, I'm chewing mouthfuls and mouthfuls of pulp in every sip. Not delicious. I expected it to blend everything into drinkable liquid... that's how they made it seem on the commercial. But this isn't the case. You could get something to strain all the pulp, and then it would be juice... but that's pretty much the same as just getting a juicer. Plus, I had to add about two cups of water just to get everything into a semi-juice form while it was blending. I bought this primarily as a juicer, and that was a mistake. So, in summation... blending = good, juicing = bad. 3/5 Damon Collins (San Diego, Ca United States) - See all my reviews, August 16, 2011
