  You get what you pay for

  Other sets include 2 rings for a slightly higher price. Those rings are made with a smoother material and are thicker and will withstand a lot of use and even abuse.This 3 pack is made of a very cheap material. They work, but I don't expect them to last very long.   within 3 days of submitting my order, I received only 2 o-rings. I contacted the seller who said the shortage will be sent out. After 5 days I wrote again. The seller said it was sent and asked if I was going to use all three at the same time. I did not like his attitude.   keep your old one

  I bought this because I thought it would make short work of chopping and mince really fast and have more power blending. However..I just tried this new 'improved' blade in my blender with the exact same smoothie recipe I always make..[one bunch Italian parsley, raw ginger, yogurt, apple juice, etc.]. With my old original blade...after a couple minutes...I would eventually get a nice creamy texture..only very very small pieces of parsley visible.With this new model...no matter how long I left the blender running...it did not suck the top third of the liquid down very well to the blades [which did not do a good job of mincing]. Parsley was not finely cut and I could easily see large pieces. So I will be going back to my old reliable blade which did the trick. BTW....if you really want to try this blade...this seller's price is four times what you can buy this for from Amazon...search for a 'sunbeam blender blade'...same as this at less than $3.00. 2/5 km withers "outback" (the Great American West) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)   Glad I purchased this additional blade

  This was one of those "do I really need this?" purchases.... I am glad I opted to buy it .... I used it for the first time 2 days ago when making a graham crumb crust. The extra 2 blades made the job very easy.... I had it all done in no time flat. In the past with the regular blade, making it was a pain in the neck because the ground up cracker crumbs would all accumulate at the bottom and the crackers at the top would stop circulating, meaning I would have to dump it all out, scrape out the fine crumbs, put it all back in etc... it would eventually get it all done, but it was a pain in the neck! They should sell this blade with the blender. Definitely a must have item if you use the blender for grindiing up solid food items. 5/5 R.   Since most reviews here may leave a person wondering, hopefully this one will help.This blade does what it is supposed to do, in that if you put ice cubes that are not too big (I use cubes from the ice maker in the refrigerator), then this thing will crush the ice very well. I don't need to add any water to make this happen. However, if you are looking to be able to make a larger size of crushed ice, then this may not work. This blade makes a fine crushed ice pretty quickly. I don't know if you can stop the action in a way to control how big you want the ice. I also don't know how much ice you can put into the blender and get a good consistency. I didn't put in a whole lot since I know blenders don't do well with a lot of product in them of certain types that won't circulate well, such as ice all by itself.To the complaints about the oil:Yes there is oil on the blades when you get this.
